Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT seeks an Engineering Supervisor to lead the Monitoring and Control Systems group within the HM&E program, responsible for HM&E system development, FDS integration, and ICS interfaces. You will specify ship hardware, manage subcontractors, oversee tests, and drive safety, quality, and schedule performance while fostering employee development.

Candidates should have a BS in Engineering, 5+ years of engineering experience, and prior leadership

Qualifications

BS in Engineering is required.
MS in Engineering is preferred.
Experience leading groups or teams is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Ship Specification, hardware and interface requirement specifications.
Procurement specifications and subcontractor statements of work.
Subcontractor management, system test procedures and reports, obsolescence management.
Electrical disclosure development and change management including cabling diagrams, wiring tables and cable routing.
Electrical cableway disclosure change management.
Shipboard construction supports Quonset Point, Groton and remote focus factories.
Support to operations management and lead foreman.
Shipboard integration testing and troubleshooting, support to Shipboard Testing Organization.
Driving results in safety, technical quality, cost and schedule performance.
Supporting employee professional development and preservation of critical technical skills and knowledge.
