Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Distribution Engineering Supervisor to lead the Savannah, Statesboro, or Springfield Engineering Team. The role requires living within commutable distance and up to 25% travel.

You will guide planning, design, and construction while safeguarding a Safety Excellence culture. The ideal candidate has a track record in supervision, distribution/transmission experience, and strong customer relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience with full performance management responsibilities.
• A minimum of 5 years of Distribution and/or Transmission experience is preferred.
• Proven record of dealing effectively with customers is preferred.
• Cross-functional, cross-company experience is a plus.
• Experience managing capital and O&M budgets is preferred.
• Experience with storm response and planning is preferred.
• Experience with distribution software and support applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the Savannah, Statesboro, or Springfield Engineering Team.
• Develop team members and communicate business goals to the team.
• Provide performance management and guidance for planning, design, and construction activities.
• Monitor area-wide budgets, compliance, and system maintenance for reliability.
• Investigate outages and address customer issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver customer value and reliability.
