Job summary

Georgia Power seeks an Engineering Supervisor to lead the Savannah, Statesboro, or Springfield engineering teams. The successful candidate must live within commuting distance and is eligible for relocation benefits; up to 25% travel is required.

You will guide planning, engineering, design and construction activities, manage area budgets and performance, foster a safety-first culture, develop staff, and address customer issues while coordinating with other departments and SERP events as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience with full performance management responsibilities.
• Minimum of 5 years of Distribution and/or Transmission experience preferred.
• Proven record of dealing effectively with customers preferred.
• Experience with storm response and planning preferred.
• Experience with distribution software and support applications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team in a Safety Excellence environment with a focus on learning how to work safely and how engineering decisions impact safety.
• Provide leadership and guidance for planning, engineering, design, and construction of all activities in the area and monitor area-wide budgets and maintenance.
• Investigate outages and address customer issues; communicate with upper management about customer concerns.
• Work with other functional departments to deliver reliability and cost efficiency; participate in SERP events as required.
