Job summary

Georgia Power in Savannah, Statesboro, or Springfield is seeking an experienced Distribution Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering team across headquarters and ensure safety and reliability.

The ES will manage performance, budgets, outages, and customer issues, with up to 25% travel. Relocation benefits may be available. A Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3+ years of supervision, plus 5+ years in distribution/transmission are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience with full performance management responsibilities.
• Minimum 5 years of Distribution and/or Transmission experience.
• Proven record of dealing effectively with customers.
• Experience with budgeting and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team in a Safety Excellence environment with a focus on safe work and learning.
• Build a culture where team members feel included, valued, and free to speak up.
• Oversee planning, engineering, design, and construction of area activities and guide budgets.
• Monitor area-wide budgets, compliance, and system maintenance for reliability.
• Investigate outages and address customer issues; communicate with upper management.
• Collaborate with other departments and participate in SERP roles as required.
