Job summary
The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the Engineering Department, overseeing staff, preventive maintenance, and building systems compliance. This on-call role requires coordinating with Facilities, Security, Operations, and Conservation to maintain safe, reliable facilities.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in building maintenance or engineering operations, with 2+ years in supervision, strong HVAC and METASYS experience, and the ability to respond to
Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in building maintenance and engineering operations.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience operating HVAC, building automation systems, and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise the Engineer and Engineering Assistant; assign daily work and schedules.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance program and building operations.
- Respond to after-hours calls involving alarms, failures, and emergencies.
- Coordinate inspections, tests, and regulatory compliance for life-safety systems.
- Coordinate contractors and service providers; review reports for quality and safety.
