Job summary

The role emphasizes supervision, staff development, and hands-on oversight of preventive maintenance and QA/QC across building systems, with responsibility for performance appraisals and scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with vocational HVAC/electrical training.
• Universal CFC certification required.
• State Journeyman license or equivalent.
• State Master license or equivalent preferred.
• State 1ST Grade Stationary Engineer license.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve work orders; obtain and evaluate subcontractors; create preventative maintenance plans; QA/QC inspections for all building systems evaluations; communication and coordination with the Manager(s); and necessary reporting.
• Responsible for the supervision of Building Technicians including recruiting/hiring, supervision, recognition, disciplinary actions, salary administration, performance appraisals and terminations.
• Responsible for the development, evaluation, and training of assigned staff to ensure high skill levels and technical competence.
• Perform the duties of a Building Technician IV as required.
• Provide operating and capital expenditure recommendations to the management team.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
