Job summary

Maison Métier in New Orleans' Warehouse District seeks an Engineering Supervisor to lead daily maintenance and engineering operations. You will oversee the engineering team, coordinate preventive maintenance, respond to repairs, and ensure building systems run safely and smoothly to provide a high-touch guest experience.

You’ll read blueprints and schematics, manage PM logs, and mentor staff while aligning with OSHA and fire/life safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades preferred.
• EPA, CPO, or HVAC certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily supervision of the engineering and maintenance team.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Respond promptly to guestroom and public area maintenance requests.
• Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance and safety concerns.
• Support inventory management of tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
• Assist in coordinating contracted services, inspections, and vendor repairs.
• Ensure all engineering areas, mechanical rooms, and workshops remain clean, safe, and organized.
• Maintain accurate records including PM logs, work orders, compliance documents, and safety inspections.

This role supports the engineering team, ensures proper completion of preventive maintenance tasks, and responds to repairs throughout the property.
