Job summary

Hyatt Regency Baytown is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead shift maintenance across guest rooms, event spaces, and back-of-house areas. You will troubleshoot, read blueprints, and use a Windows-based system to manage tasks.

Strong leadership and communication are essential to ensure safe, efficient operations. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in building maintenance, hotel experience preferred, and the ability to handle diverse shifts while mentoring the team and responding to

• Minimum 3 years building maintenance experience.

An Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for shift coverage and therefore must possess strong trouble-shooting skills in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems, using a windows based computer system. Ability to read blue prints and schematics is also required.

From the moment you enter the Hyatt Regency Houston- Baytown hotel, you will sense a wonderful mix of modern meets warm southern Texas hospitality and bay breezes. The hotel features 208 guest rooms, a market, a 3-meal restaurant with exposition kitchen, and a lobby bar with great views of the Houston ship channel. Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-years building maintenance experience is required
• Hotel experience preferred
• A strong working knowledge of all major building systems, including life-safety systems, is required
• Good communication skills are necessary
• Strong leadership skills
• Willingness to work different shifts as the demands of business dictates.
• Respond to guest and team member inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Respond to emergency situations according to standards and guidelines
• Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, conducting evaluations, training and delivering recognition and reward
