Hyatt Regency New Orleans is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will perform maintenance, repair, and upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, and meeting rooms, ensuring smooth operations across the property.

The ideal candidate has a broad maintenance background with experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to exceptional guest service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Technical Experience in related field or trade (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC/Refrigeration, Paint & Wallcovering).
• Follow safety and security policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Two years of previous hotel experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and meeting rooms throughout the hotel.
• Perform preventative maintenance, respond to guest service calls, and troubleshoot building-related issues.
• Complete repairs across a variety of trades to support day-to-day hotel operations.

Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Engineering team as a General Maintenance Engineer at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans and steps from Caesars Superdome, our hotel features more than 1,200 guest rooms and over 200,000 square feet of meeting and event space, making it one of the premier convention hotels in the region.

As a General Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, meeting rooms throughout the hotel. This hands‑on position supports the day‑to‑day operation of the property by performing preventative maintenance, responding to guest service calls, troubleshooting building‑related issues, and completing repairs across a variety of trades.

The ideal candidate will possess a broad maintenance background with experience in general building systems, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry. Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service are essential to success in this role.
