Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Groton is offering a 2027 Summer Internship within the Groton Facilities Capitol Projects Team. Interns will engage with real estate and facilities projects supporting the Groton shipyard and surrounding sites.

Qualified candidates are enrolled full-time engineering students, US citizens, and able to pass screenings. The program emphasizes hands-on experience across design, construction, and maintenance activities with a focus on safety and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Must be able to pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check.
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week for 8 consecutive weeks between May 2027 and September 2027.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor or Masters of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Ocean, or Chemical Engineering.
