General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT offers a Summer Internship in Groton Facilities Engineering. The intern will support projects, perform calculations, review drawings, and research codes under supervision of senior engineers.

This on-site program provides exposure to construction, maintenance, and submarine support systems within a multidisciplinary team. Applicants must be US citizens, be 18+, and be enrolled full-time in an engineering degree, with 8 weeks commitment in Summer 2027.

Formación

• Must be enrolled in a college/university as a full-time student.
• Must be 18 years or older and US citizenship is required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must have completed freshman year prior to internship start.
• Must commit to 40 hours per week for 8 consecutive weeks (May 2027–Sept 2027).
• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Support managing projects and surveillances.
• Perform calculations on fluid systems, structures and components.
• Drawings and procedures reviews and updates.
• Research relevant codes in support of construction and inspection.
• Preliminary project development.
