Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group is offering a Commissioning Summer Intern position in New York. The role supports engineering teams, prepares Mechanical system drawings, and assists with design calculations while gaining hands-on experience.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, are at least in their second year, and have interest in MEP software like AutoCAD and REVIT, plus a willingness to learn through our EDT program and lunch‑and‑learn sessions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
• Must be, at minimum, in your second year.
• Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
• Knowledge in the latest version of MEP AutoCAD and REVIT is a plus.
• Basic knowledge in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
• Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings of Mechanical systems.
• Assist engineers with design calculations and sizing building Mechanical systems.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits to observe.
• Attend intern education program lunch-and-learn sessions.
