Job summary

JLL’s Hard Services Lead/Engineering Services Director role in Charlotte, NC is a strategic and hands‑on leadership position. You will oversee multiple teams responsible for the operation and maintenance of building systems, implementing proactive maintenance programs and small projects, and aligning with client expectations.

You will drive service delivery, budget planning, and performance metrics while ensuring safety, compliance, and uptime across a diverse portfolio of facilities.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering or related discipline or 10 years field experience as engineering supervisor.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building repair and maintenance, plumbing, and electrical.
• Strong leadership abilities and relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.
• Financial acumen with background in managing P&L outcomes.
• Familiar with project delivery processes and capital planning functions.
• U.S. citizenship or work authorization; able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of Hard Services with accountability for safety, uptime, and cost effectiveness.
• Oversee maintenance and capital improvements of building systems (Life Safety, Electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Manage budgets, approvals, and vendor contracts; review payables and MRO stockroom operations.
• Coordinate with Account Lead Team and Regional Engineers; ensure compliance with client SOPs and codes.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements across sites.
