Job summary

OpenTalent in Livermore, CA is offering multiple openings for graduate students and graduates in engineering to engage in practical research supporting DTED. You will work on engineering projects in mechanical, electrical, systems, materials, manufacturing or test engineering, with a mentor and opportunities to contribute to real world problems.

This is a full-time onsite internship. Candidates must be a current student or have completed degrees in engineering, maintain good academic standing,

Qualifications

• Must be a continuing college student or have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Must be eligible to access the Laboratory under NDAA.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while solving real world problems.
• Under limited direction will conduct research in the assigned area.
• Perform technical assignments of a basic degree of complexity and support engineers in R&D.
• Document and communicate results of technical data generated.
• Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
• Attend relevant seminars.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
