Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Project Manager to lead renewable energy initiatives from Cranberry Township, PA or Blue Bell, PA. You will drive the full lifecycle of hydro, solar, battery, and wind projects, coordinating planning, procurement, commissioning, closeout, and warranty support.

Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customers to deliver innovative solutions that optimize power generation facilities. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field or equivalent.
• 3+ years of technical project management experience.
• Strong autonomous work ethic and self-directed leadership.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Comfortable traveling up to 20%.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resources, and budgets for project delivery.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Oversee activities of engineering, electrical, mechanical, and subcontractors.
• Manage contracts, change orders, proposals, and project records.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with technical teams.
• Address scope changes and drive productive discussions.
• Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships through proactive communication.
• Manage multiple projects with high quality execution.
• Lead pre-bid meetings, site visits, kickoff meetings, and reviews.
• Support proposals and guide opportunities through bidding process.
• Share lessons learned to improve practices.

Based in our Cranberry Township, PA or Blue Bell, PA office, you will lead and manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects across hydro, solar, battery, and wind applications.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver innovative solutions that help power generation facilities operate at peak performance. From project planning and procurement through commissioning, closeout, and warranty support, you will play a key role in driving successful project outcomes while contributing to the growth of Emerson's renewable energy business.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
• Establish clear project expectations and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
• Coordinate and oversee the activities of engineering, electrical, mechanical, and specialty subcontractors.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, proposals, correspondence, compliance records, and project archives.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks while collaborating with technical teams to develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Anticipate and address scope changes, facilitating productive discussions and negotiations to support project success.
• Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and execution.
• Lead pre-bid meetings, site visits, project kickoff meetings, and project review sessions.
• Partner with Sales and other business teams to support proposal development and guide opportunities through the bidding process.
• Share lessons learned and provide recommendations that continuously improve project execution practices.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, other technical discipline or equivalent

• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Comprehensive understanding of standard proposal development tools and processes
• Able to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with Control Systems or Power generation industry
