Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Project Manager - Engineering (m/f/d) for Metzingen, Germany, to ensure on-time delivery of products and coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain.

You will drive DFMO/DFM alignment, monitor KPIs, and manage risks to shorten lead times while supporting RFQs and sustaining programs. Fluency in English and German is required; PMI/PMP preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Manager with a proven track record.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with PCBA design/manufacturing - preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum processes - preferred.
• PMI or PMP certification preferred.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English (C1) and good German language skills (B2).

Responsibilities

• Lead NPD projects and cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Global Service and Quality.
• Manage schedules, risks, KPIs, and deliverables to ensure on-time performance and product readiness.
• Serve as the primary stakeholder interface for NPD program updates.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Procurement to ensure material availability and factory build readiness.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) alignment, quality targets, and cycle-time improvements.
• Document program work, elevate risks, and drive issues to closure.
• Support RFQs and sustaining program proposals as needed.
