Job summary

NDT Global is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive mechatronic product development projects for internal and external customers. You will work to achieve milestones on time, with high quality and on budget, coordinating across electronics, firmware and sensor technologies.

The role requires several years in R&D project management, German and English proficiency, and strong communication across disciplines. Travel and collaboration with international teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Several years of professional experience as a developer in mechatronic products including electronics, firmware and sensor technologies.
• Experience in Project Management in R&D; ideally around 3 years, but strong candidates with less experience are welcome.
• Mastery of project management methods (project plans, risk assessments/FMEA, V-model, agile methods); PMP/PRINCE2 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans projects, including structure plans, task descriptions, and resource allocation in close cooperation with department managers.
• Evaluates time, costs and project risks; prepares project requests for approval and organizes successful project launch.
• Manages and controls projects, including the provision of project forecast and regular reports.
• Closes out projects, including handover to finance, operations and customer, with complete documentation.
• Communicates with internal and external customers and promotes interdisciplinary exchange and communication.
• Coordinates cross-functional teams and escalates appropriately when necessary.
• Guides the project team through phases from concept to transfer to operations.
