Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Project Manager - Engineering to lead complex midstream engineering initiatives from concept to startup. You will coordinate multi-discipline teams, ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and technical standards, and drive projects on time and within budget.

This role requires traveling around 25% and a strong background in mechanical, chemical, civil, or petroleum engineering, plus PM credentials like PMP.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• Ability and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop scope of work/for-bid packages for engineering, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Track costs and milestone schedules; communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Interpret PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, Piping Plans, and Isometrics; review electrical drawings and schematics.
• Provide technical support to operations, including PSM compliance and optimization efforts.
