Job summary

Cleco is seeking an Engineer II – Project Manager to lead large capital projects in Louisiana. You will manage scope, budget, and schedules, coordinating across departments to deliver complex capital initiatives valued over $1M.

The role requires collaboration with sponsors, analytics, and legal teams, ensuring governance and timely updates. Under moderate supervision, you’ll apply engineering principles, monitor project health in Primavera P6, and support stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or FE eligibility.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• FE preferred.
• Strong planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead large capital projects (> $1M) per Cleco’s governance process.
• Coordinate activities across departments to ensure successful deliverables.
• Develop scope, budget, specifications and schedules for projects.
• Provide monthly project updates to stakeholders and sponsors.
• Lead project team meetings and facilitate issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
