Job summary

Kearfott Corporation, a leader in precision motion control and inertial navigation, seeks an Engineering Project Manager to drive complex INS/IMU programs from development to sustainment. You will lead cross‑functional teams, guide technical reviews, and interface with customers to ensure program success.

Ideal candidates bring 8–12+ years in aerospace with strong systems engineering and project leadership, and a US citizenship. This is an onsite role at our Pine Brook, NJ facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Software, or related).
• 8–12+ years in aerospace, defense, or high‑reliability systems.
• Experience as engineer and as engineering lead/technical lead prior to PM.
• Managed complex development/production programs for inertial navigation, guidance, or sensor‑based systems.
• Strong systems engineering, hardware/software integration, environmental qualification, and test.
• Proven ability to lead engineers and cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency with program planning tools (e.g., MS Project, ERP/MRP systems).
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex inertial navigation and guidance projects across development, qualification, production, and sustainment.
• Chair and actively participate in SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR reviews and drive technical rigor.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including systems hardware/software, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and test.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS), budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage contracts, changes, and customer‑directed engineering modifications.
• Interface with government and commercial customers and deliver status briefings.
• Mentor engineers and junior program managers transitioning into leadership roles.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, configuration management, and aerospace standards.
