Job summary

Shure Incorporated in Niles, IL is seeking a Project Manager (Engineering) to lead cross-functional hardware and software development initiatives. This role requires strategic thinking and the ability to drive projects from concept to completion in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The position is hybrid (3 days on-site) based at our Niles, IL location. You will guide development, planning, risk management, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, Engineering preferred.
• PMI PMP certification or PDMA NPDP certification preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in new product implementation.
• 4+ years of experience leading teams in a direct report or dotted/matrix environment.
• Proven experience with in-house and OEM/ODM/JDM projects.
• Product development experience in wireless systems and technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront work and collaborate with departments to approve, plan, staff, and set up projects for success.
• Drive development, planning, and closure of all project efforts including internal and external dependencies.
• Assess and monitor risk in budgets, schedules, costs and quality; communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with new product development processes and report progress to governance bodies.
• Negotiate and maintain relationships with outside partners and vendors to achieve goals.
• Review projects, capture lessons learned, and suggest improvements to NPD processes.
