Job summary

Shure in Illinois seeks an experienced Project Manager (Engineering) to lead cross‑functional hardware and software initiatives from concept to launch. Hybrid role based in Niles, IL with on‑site collaboration three days per week.

You will drive planning, risk management, and stakeholder alignment across internal teams and external partners, ensuring on‑time delivery of high‑quality products for a global audio leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Engineering preferred.
• PMI PMP certification or PDMA NPDP certification preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in new product implementation.
• Minimum 4 years of experience leading teams in a direct report or matrix environment.
• Proven expertise with in‑house and OEM/ODM/JDM projects.
• Product development experience in wireless systems and technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront work and collaborate with departments to approve, plan, staff, and set up new concepts and projects.
• Lead development, planning, and closure of all efforts in project execution with internal and external dependencies.
• Assess and monitor risk in budgets, schedules, costs, and quality; communicate risks to the Project Team and Stakeholders; negotiate to adherence.
• Assure compliance with the new product development process and report progress to governance bodies via status reports.
• Negotiate and maintain relationships with outside partners in collaboration with Supply Chain Associates and vendors to meet goals.
• Review project activities, capture lessons learned, and suggest improvements for future processes.
