Job summary

Shure Incorporated in Niles, IL is seeking an Engineer II, Mechanical to design, prototype, test, and refine hardware solutions used by customers worldwide. You will contribute to the full product development lifecycle on cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience, proficiency with Siemens NX, and hands-on problem solving, including validation, tolerancing, and DFx for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD and Siemens NX preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork; willingness to travel internationally.
• Experience with design reviews and phase gates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design, layout, testing, and evaluation of audio products.
• Create fully defined 3D models and associated 2D drawings using CAD software (Siemens NX).
• Validate designs with tests, GD&T, FEA, DFA/DFM, and related methods.
• Support manufacturing via engineering changes and interaction with tooling and suppliers.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and conduct design reviews and peer reviews.
