Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Project Manager I – Engineering in the New York area to manage projects through their full lifecycle, including scoping, bids, and contract negotiations.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, ensure delivery on time and within budget, and coordinate with clients to satisfy project objectives. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of experience are required, with PE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
• Proven ability to lead smaller projects or task orders.

Responsibilities

• Develop the project scope and fee quotation and assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts.
• Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
• Lead the development and execution of the project management plan and mentor team members.
• Coordinate staffing, recruitment, and performance reviews.
