Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience in engineering project management, technical program management, or similar.
• Experience with physical products in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling product development lifecycles from concept to production.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional engineering teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through design, development, testing, qualification, and production launch.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, priorities, and deliverables.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, supply chain, and other technical teams.
• Track progress and identify schedule, technical, cost, and resource risks.
• Drive projects to completion balancing technical requirements, cost, quality and timing.
• Support design reviews, changes, testing, validation, and manufacturing readiness.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders.
• Resolve technical and operational roadblocks throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure project documentation and reporting are complete.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead technical projects involving new product development, product introduction, and manufacturing. This role will manage projects from initial concept and design through development, testing, qualification, and production launch.

The ideal candidate combines a strong engineering background with hands-on project or program management experience in a manufacturing environment. This person will coordinate cross-functional engineering activities, manage project schedules and deliverables, identify risks, and ensure projects are successfully transitioned into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through design, development, testing, qualification, and production launch
• Manage new product development and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, priorities, and deliverables
• Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, supply chain, and other technical teams
• Track project progress and proactively identify schedule, technical, cost, and resource risks
• Drive projects toward completion while balancing technical requirements, customer expectations, cost, quality, and timing
• Support design reviews, engineering changes, testing, validation, and manufacturing readiness
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and key project stakeholders
• Help resolve technical and operational roadblocks throughout the product-development lifecycle
• Ensure appropriate project documentation, reporting, and follow-through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Experience in engineering project management, technical program management, product development, NPI, or a closely related role
• Experience working with physical products in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience taking products or engineering programs through multiple stages of the product-development lifecycle
• Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams and manage multiple priorities
• Experience with project planning, schedules, milestones, risk management, and stakeholder communication
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Experience in aerospace, industrial manufacturing, medical device, automotive, electromechanical products, or other highly engineered products is valuable

Additional Requirements

Candidates do not need to currently reside in Nevada. The company is open to qualified candidates throughout the United States who are willing to relocate to the Carson City area.
