Job summary

Targa Resources seeks an experienced Project Manager - Engineering to lead and deliver engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring safety, technical excellence, and regulatory compliance. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet schedule and budget goals, providing expert support throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include FEL cost estimating, scope development, cost tracking, and coordinating with operations, environmental teams, and vendors.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Manage feasibility studies, FEL cost estimates, AFE generation, detailed engineering and design; scope, bid, and manage construction and commissioning contractors; FATs and PSSR reviews.
• Develop scope of work/for-bid packages for engineering, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Track/forecast costs and milestone schedules and communicate progress to project stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of midstream systems including gathering, transmission, pump and compressor stations, pigging facilities, and mainline appurtenances.
• Ensure construction activities comply with specifications, standards, and regulations.
• Support ROW acquisition, permitting, land agreements, and environmental coordination with Land/ROW, Regulatory, and Environmental teams.
• Provide technical support to operations including troubleshooting, PSM compliance, debottlenecking, and maintenance projects.
• Understand midstream processing: amine treating, dehydration, gas processing, and condensate stabilization.
• Size and specify mechanical equipment and piping; select materials and thicknesses to meet design requirements.
• Interpret PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, and Isometrics; interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
