Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking a Process Engineer to design, optimize, and support midstream gas processing facilities. You will work with operations and project teams to deliver technical solutions, run process simulations, and continuously improve plant performance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, debottlenecking, PSM compliance, equipment sizing, and piping design, with frequent collaboration across disciplines. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Proficiency in Power BI for reporting and analytics.
• Ability and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations, including troubleshooting, debottlenecking and optimization.
• Develop process simulations and material & energy balances using ProMax software.
• Size and specify mechanical equipment and piping components per design requirements.
• Review assets to enhance safety, reliability, and capacity.
• Create and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans and Isometrics.
