Job summary

Evergy is seeking an Distribution Project Oversight Engineer to provide end-to-end oversight for large capital and priority customer projects. You will coordinate kickoff and readiness discussions with internal and external stakeholders, identify risks, and drive timely execution across multiple departments.

Responsibilities include reviewing design packages, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with standards and schedules while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) from ABET-accredited university.
• 2–5 years of Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end oversight of capital, asset management, and priority customer projects.
• Coordinate kickoff, scope alignment, and readiness discussions with stakeholders.
• Identify risks, remove barriers, and resolve issues to protect schedule, budget, and quality.
• Lead coordination with Design, Construction, Operations, GIS, and external partners to deliver projects.
