Job summary

Bloom Engineering Company, a Wabtec subsidiary, seeks a Project Coordinator to support the execution of custom engineered-to-order projects from order receipt through design, manufacturing, and delivery. You will liaise between Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and customers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.

This in-office role requires strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in project coordination or similar.
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering or engineered-to-order environment preferred.
• Familiarity with end-to-end project lifecycle from design through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in planning and coordinating custom engineered-to-order projects.
• Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities between Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Sales.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
• Track project deliverables and ensure adherence to contractual and internal deadlines.
• Manage and coordinate small scale projects when required.
• Serve as a central point of contact for internal teams regarding project status and updates.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and document meeting minutes and action items.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to Project Managers and stakeholders.
• Assist in coordinating customer communications, submittals, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and update project management systems.
• Track engineering releases, procurement status, manufacturing progress, and shipment schedules.
• Identify potential delays or risks and elevate issues to the Project Manager.
• Prepare project status reports and summaries for leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain project files, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
• Coordinate document control for engineering drawings and revisions.
• Assist with order entry review, job setup, and project closeout activities.
• Support continuous improvement of project coordination processes.
