Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Houston is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with standard engineering techniques and design updates under the guidance of lead engineers. You will support multiple market segments, including construction, and participate in diverse project duties.

The role emphasizes study in construction/engineering, strong communication and leadership, and a willingness to contribute to design and field operations. This is a full-time internship with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a field related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead engineers with project duties and standard design of engineering systems.
• Correct and update designs and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Support construction phase services and program management activities as needed.
