Job summary

Armtec Defense Technologies is seeking an Engineering Leader in the United States East Camden area to serve as the technical authority and coordinator for the engineering IPT. You will lead a 2–6 person team, drive integrated designs, processes, and automation for high-reliability countermeasures production, while personally contributing as an IC on design, analysis, experimentation, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years in engineering roles within defense/aerospace manufacturing, 1+ years in technical leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Familiarity with DoD programs; experience with hazardous materials or pyrotechnic systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and coordinate engineering tasks, ensuring integration of designs, processes, and automation across the subgroup.
• Mentor direct reports and develop personalized growth plans to advance team skills.
• Collect and communicate technical status updates to IPT and leadership; drive technical decisions and resolve conflicts.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to enable rapid recovery and preventive measures; ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Define new process performance requirements and analyze production metrics to identify KPIs, risks, and improvements.
• Identify and drive productivity and capital projects, coordinating technical aspects and ensuring integration.
