Gentex seeks an Engineering Project Manager II to lead the engineering development of new products across mechanical, hardware, software and systems. This on-site role is based at Gentex facilities in Zeeland, MI, with no remote work.

You will steer 2-4 engineering disciplines, coordinate with vendors, OEMs and customers, and translate requirements into implementable roadmaps while balancing agile and waterfall methods. You’ll drive accountability and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of product development, software development, manufacturing, or testing in an engineering role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel).
• Experience leading System Engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
• Experience in Project or Program Management.
• Familiarity with DOORS, Jira, MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• ISO 26262 / ASIL and ASPICE experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead 2-4 Gentex Engineering disciplines in product development.
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs and customers on timelines and expectations.
• Document and supervise program requirements and technical specs and convert to implementation roadmaps.
• Balance agile and waterfall approaches to create feasible schedules and manage cross-functional dependencies.
• Collaborate to ensure accountability and decisions meet project and customer needs.
• Communicate goals, progress and process improvements to senior leadership.
• Identify and remove roadblocks for the project team.
• Lead regular technical launch meetings with cross-functional teams and produce action notes.
• Release engineering artifacts including software, BOMs and release notes.
• Teach and drive project management best practices across the organization.
• Lead engineering quotations and develop profitable product business cases.
• Other duties as assigned.
