Job summary

State of Delaware - DOT/Transportation Solutions is seeking an Engineer Program Manager I to supervise and manage Bridge Design projects. You will oversee professional staff and consultants, draft complex agreements, and participate in hiring and performance reviews.

Candidates must hold a Delaware Professional Engineering license or an equivalent license and have at least six months of project engineering experience in relevant disciplines.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Delaware Professional Engineering License OR licensure from another recognized authority in the United States, DC, or Canada.
• Six months experience as a project engineer in one or more engineering disciplines listed below with project/program management responsibility.
• Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through coursework, training, or lead-worker experience; or supervising staff and/or subordinate teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage assigned projects and programs within the Bridge Design section.
• Make technical decisions and provide guidance on engineering solutions.
• Draft, review and modify agreements; estimate manpower needs and schedules; assign work.
• Hire, train and perform performance reviews as part of personnel management.
