Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Bridge Project Manager to lead bridge replacement and repair programs for state DOTs and public clients. You will guide multidisciplinary teams across a regional bridge portfolio, driving constructible design-build solutions while maintaining strong client partnerships.

You will mentor project managers, prepare proposals, and manage budgets, schedules, and risk. Portland, ME and other Northeast locations are included; travel required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; PE license required.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience; 8+ years in project management.
• Experience with MassDOT, CTDOT, and/or RIDOT; strong design-build delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage bridge replacement and repair project delivery for DOT clients, including scope, budget, and schedule, while understanding risks and design-build requirements.
• Sell/doer responsibilities: develop work with specific clients and lead marketing plan development for target areas.
• Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and supporting professional growth.
• Prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and closeout documents.
• Track and oversee multiple projects to ensure quality control and DOT/compliance with standards.
• Interpret client contracts and manage relationships to meet client needs.
