Job summary

NANA Worley in Anchorage, AK, seeks an experienced project engineer to lead cross-discipline execution across a large program portfolio, ensuring safe, high-quality, cost-effective and on-schedule delivery.

You will oversee project plans, coordinate discipline teams, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law.
• Strong understanding of cross-discipline work, interfaces, and sequencing.
• Experience in project management, risk management, quality, procurement, or construction.
• Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Functional awareness of cross-discipline tools.
• Coordinating establishment/use of integrated tools and delivering data-centric engineering.

Responsibilities

• Supports business development activities by maintaining an up-to-date personal profile and resume, building relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors, and assisting in proposals.
• Communicates team resource loading and skill requirements to Discipline Chiefs; ensures coverage for vacations and absences; mentors/train staff and participates in performance reviews.
• Ensures adherence to engineering practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specs; standardizes equipment specs, drawings, and document templates; contributes to compliance and comments incorporation.
• Participates in project execution strategy and planning; drives innovative solutions and manages scope/cost/time; coordinates disciplines to ensure project success; supports change management and corrective actions.
• Facilitates data gathering and preparation of engineering studies and analyses; authors final documentation; ensures information is captured and customer approvals obtained.
• Monitors that equipment/material specifications and data sheets reflect project needs; facilitates bid clarifications and supplier reviews; authorizes work by direct reports.
• Seeks input to ensure constructability, operability, and maintainability; collaborates with site personnel; may create plans supporting construction, testing, commissioning, or operation.
