Job summary

NANA Worley is seeking a mechanical and piping engineering professional to provide project leadership and discipline support across complex oil and gas projects in Anchorage, AK. You will research, design, specify, and test components and systems while coordinating with client teams and other disciplines.

The role emphasizes independent work, adherence to ASME B31.x codes, ASHRAE standards, and Bentley AutoPIPE piping analysis, with on-site expectations and possible limited remote work on a

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• Alaska PE license is required.
• Minimum five (5) years engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Minimum two (2) years off-pad pipeline engineering experience.
• Engineering experience for projects on the North Slope – Alaska is required.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8 piping codes and ASHRAE standards.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Works with clients to develop a project’s scope of work, estimates, and/or schedules.
• Reviews and approves project drawings, standards and specifications.
• Develops major equipment and material selection, and construction specifications.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Ensures that all assigned activities and operations comply with applicable codes, regulations and laws.
• Provides support during fabrication and installation phases to ensure engineering documents are followed.
• Coordinates activities with other project disciplines involved in fabrication, operation, application, and installation or repair of various materials, products or systems.
• Provides technical direction, support and information to other engineers, designers and drafters.
• Consistently demonstrates professional skills in structuring assigned activities, creativity, teamwork, communications, operational efficiencies, handling of a client’s changing needs, decision making, and analyzing and solving problems.
• Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
