Job summary
The Town of Harrisburg is seeking a Project Manager in the Engineering Division to lead capital project delivery, coordinate consultants and contractors, and supervise construction inspection staff. The role focuses on field coordination, ensuring work meets plans and standards, and driving on-time, within-budget project results.
Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, with municipal or utilities setting experience and supervisory background.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Municipal or utilities setting experience with supervisory background.
- Engineer Intern or Project Management Professional certifications preferred.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned capital projects and coordinate consultant and contractor work.
- Support development review and oversee construction documentation.
- Supervise construction inspection personnel and coordinate field activities.
- Ensure infrastructure is built in accordance with approved plans and standards.
- Review inspection documentation and provide coaching and training.
- Report to Deputy Town Engineer and manage inspection priorities and scheduling.
