Job summary

Toyon Research Corporation is seeking an organized, proactive Engineering Operations Specialist to support our Aerospace Development Engineering department. This in-person role coordinates recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, meetings, documentation, and engineering operations, working closely with the Development Engineering Operations Manager and program leadership.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in operations coordination or related roles, with strong MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Operations, Engineering Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations coordination, project administration, engineering support, technical recruiting coordination, or a similar role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Comfort working with technical terminology and learning engineering processes and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering operations, recruiting, onboarding, and other department initiatives.
• Coordinate onboarding of new engineering personnel.
• Assist with workforce planning, staffing, and resource coordination activities.
• Coordinate meetings, schedules, communications, and follow-up actions.
• Provide operational and administrative support for department initiatives, including documentation, coordination, and cross-functional activities.
• Follow up on routine cross-department and business-unit dependencies, schedules, and deliverables; identify conflicts and elevate matters requiring management decisions.
