Job summary

Wasco Electric Cooperative Inc. is seeking a Home Job Manager of Engineering & Operations to lead planning, design, operation, maintenance, and improvement of the electric utility system.

You will provide leadership for engineering and operations, ensure safe and reliable service, oversee outages, capital projects, and strategic planning. You will work with finance, member services, and field personnel, while ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering/management or related field.
• Minimum five years of leadership experience.
• Ten years of utility distribution operations experience, or 15+ years if no education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate departmental operations and personnel.
• Oversee distribution system operations, maintenance, outages, and emergency response.
• Develop budgets, capital projects, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Lead safety culture and ensure OSHA/NESC compliance.
• Mentor and develop employees; manage performance and succession.
