Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking an Engineering Administrator to serve as the operational backbone of a fast-moving engineering organization. This dedicated role removes friction for engineers by managing licenses, procurement, budgets, and onboarding, while coordinating across finance, IT, HR, and vendors.

As the central point of coordination, you’ll maintain records, ensure compliance, and keep tooling and access provisioning running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 3+ years in an administrative, operations, procurement, or coordination role, ideally supporting a technical or professional-services team.
• Experience managing recurring processes such as renewals, procurement, budgets, or vendor coordination.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint) or equivalent office tools.
• Ability to track and manage multiple workstreams and deadlines with high accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professional and approachable.
• A self-starter mindset with reliability to own tasks end-to-end with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own the software license lifecycle: procuring, renewing, tracking, reallocating, and retiring licenses and SaaS subscriptions.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships: coordinating quotes, contracts, renewals, and points of contact.
• Handle procurement and purchasing: raising purchase requests and orders, tracking approvals, reconciling invoices.
• Track and support the team’s operational budget: monitoring spend against tooling and licensing budgets.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics: accounts, hardware, access requests, and tool provisioning.
• Maintain hardware and asset inventory: tracking equipment assignments, repairs and replacements, records.
• Administer access and account requests: submitting, tracking, approvals across systems and tools.
• Keep team documentation and records organized: trackers, distribution lists, shared drives, SOPs.
• Support compliance and audit readiness: licensing, procurement, asset records.
• Serve as a central point of coordination: fielding admin questions, routing requests, resolving issues day to day.
