Job summary

Hydro Extrusion USA, LLC in Rockledge, FL is seeking an Engineering Manager for Welded Tube. You will lead engineering projects, optimize processes, and implement permanent changes across production, quality, and equipment teams. A strong background in welded tube manufacturing and safety are essential.

The role requires a ABET-accredited engineering degree and >5 years in engineering, including 3+ years in induction welded tube production. Proficiency with modeling software is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• >5 years' work experience in engineering.
• 3+ years' experience in induction welded tube manufacturing.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with technical and engineering knowledge and data.
• Examine problem areas and devise solutions for efficiency.
• Determine process and equipment modifications to achieve changes.
• Conduct experiments, document results, and present findings to management.
• Implement trials of approved programs and monitor results.
• Document programs and initiate permanent process changes with vendors and production staff.
• Provide production support through process parameter control and design changes.
• Train staff on new processes or equipment improvements.
• Respond to and investigate customer product complaints.
• Analyze data to identify causes of problems and recommend solutions.

What you will be doing

• Support the team with technical and engineering knowledge and data.
• Examine specific problem areas, efficiency opportunities and devise solutions.
• Determine process and equipment modifications required to affect desired changes.
• Conduct experiments, document results, prepare reports and make presentations to management regarding process and equipment modifications, designed to correct designated problems.
• Implement trials of authorized programs, monitor, measure, examine, validate and report results.
• Document programs, including procedures, timing and costs. Initiate, implement permanent process changes and manage related implementation projects, working with vendors, manufacturing management and all levels of production, quality and engineering staff.
• Provide production support through process parameter control, process design and changes.
• Staff training as required to implement new process or equipment improvements, scrap reduction and productivity improvements.
• Respond to and investigate customer product complaints.
• Examine product or results of product utilization and identify specific problems.
• Analyze the data to determine causes for problems, conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions follow up to implement or support changes.
• Communicate results to customers and the production team.
• Document incidents for further review and historical files.
• Equipment validations, safety and quality audits.
• Strict adherence to Hydro HSE, quality and productivity requirements.
