Job summary

Privy is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for the Wallet Platform in New York. You will lead a product-minded platform team building primitives and developer-facing surfaces behind Privy’s wallet product that handles billions in monthly transactions.

You will balance new capabilities with reliability and scale work, guiding architecture decisions while staying close to the customer and developer experience.

Qualifications

• You have deep backend or platform experience and can independently evaluate architecture and tradeoffs.
• You understand platform as a product and align interfaces with developer and business needs.
• You lead and develop engineers with active practice and care about delivery quality.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for the Wallet Platform underpinning Privy’s wallet product.
• Drive uptime, reliability, performance, and usability of the wallet system.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and other teams to define durable interfaces and roadmaps.
• Build and ship systems quickly while ensuring long-term maintainability.
• Review designDocs and PRs, scope complex initiatives, and mentor the team.
• Foster a culture of rigor, ownership, and strong operational practice.
• Lead and develop engineers, shaping careers and team growth.
