Job summary

PacSci EMC, a Ralliant company in Chandler, AZ, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead Sustaining Design Engineering and Engineering Services teams. You will guide technical execution across production support, design sustainment, configuration management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement to align with business goals.

You will manage budgets and task assignments, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and robust design practices for low-volume aerospace manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of demonstrated leadership of a technical team.
• 7+ years of expertise in Mechanical/Ordnance Design Engineering principles.
• Experience in aerospace/defense product manufacturing in low-volume, high-mix environments.
• Experience with Lean/Six-Sigma and Toyota Production System.
• Knowledge of drafting, GD&T, and design practices.
• Experience with DFMEA/DMF/DOE; RCCA/FRACAS for failure analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills.
• Proficiency with ERP/PLM, MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Sustaining Design Engineering and Engineering Services teams.
• Ensures cross-functional collaboration with all integrated product teams.
• Leads with ownership and accountability, developing KPIs aligned with business goals.
• Apply mechanical/ordnance design fundamentals to reduce variability and maximize performance.
• Oversee failure investigation and corrective actions; maintain configuration baseline and continuous improvement.
• Promote use of business system tools and standard work processes.
• Mentor and develop team; ensure tools and knowledge are in place.
• Ensure configuration management and safety/environmental compliance.
• Build relationships with customers, management and other departments.
