Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in New York, NY seeks an experienced Manager Engineering to lead the design of complex supply chain solutions and manage a team of engineers. You will apply continuous improvement methodologies, support sales with high quality designs, and communicate with customers and Ryder senior management.

You will drive performance measures, develop proposals, and plan resources based on priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply chain or minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
• Master's degree preferred Industrial Engineering and/or Masters Degree
• Eight years or more related work experience required
• Total Work Systems (TQM) advanced required
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
• Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• DOT Regulated

Responsibilities

• Manages multiple and complex Supply chain projects
• Supervises a team of engineers (hire, promote, coach, development and performance management)
• Actively supports the sales process and creates high quality solutions and designs
• Applies company methodologies and tools to design distribution and/or transportation operations
• Establishes and implements performance measures
• Provides proposal and presentation support and development
• Provides resource planning based on priorities and demand signals
• Independently identifies process gaps, recommends and implements process improvement
• Makes inventory and/or Supply Chain strategy recommendations
