Job summary

ROXBOX is seeking an Engineering Manager / Professional Engineer to lead our design and engineering function for steel-frame modular and shipping container projects in Houston. You’ll guide a team of architects and designers, establish technical direction, and follow projects from design through fabrication to ensure what we draw can actually be built.

This leadership role requires 5+ years of engineering experience and a PE license, with the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering and design experience, ideally in modular construction, manufacturing, steel fabrication, or design-build environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a design team of architects and designers.
• Establish technical direction, priorities, standards, and accountability across active projects.
• Review designs for accuracy, constructability, materials, sequencing, installation, and code compliance.
• Apply DFMA principles to improve project execution.
• Coordinate with Production to resolve design and engineering questions during fabrication.
• Translate project requirements into practical technical solutions with clients and internal teams.
