Job summary

CAE is recruiting a software engineer to support the development and deployment of training system modifications for the TSSC engineering team.

The role includes designing and testing software, coordinating hardware/software changes, and producing documentation for C-17 ATS devices. Requires a BS in MIS/CS/EE/ME with 5+ years in simulation and strong UNIX/Linux and programming skills; MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in MIS, CS, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or technical equivalent with 5 years in simulation.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux environments (IRIX, Solaris) and programming languages (C/C++, FORTRAN, Ada).
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word.

Responsibilities

• Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications.
• Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
• Performs testing, reviews and certification of software.
• Develops test strategies and coordinates test activities for projects.
• Provide technical direction to junior team members.
