Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Operating with the autonomy, pace and ownership of a startup, the team is developing sophisticated AI-powered products backed by significant investment, resources and an established customer base.

We're hiring multiple Engineering Managers to lead talented engineering teams, shape technical direction and scale the backend systems and core infrastructure powering these products.

This is an opportunity to tackle complex engineering challenges, influence architecture and product direction, and make a meaningful impact without the constraints or uncertainty typically associated with early-stage startups.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and develop a team of talented software engineers working on backend and platform systems.
• Own the technical direction, architecture and delivery of core engineering services.
• Work on scalable, reliable systems supporting AI-powered applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering leaders and other teams to define priorities and deliver impactful solutions.
• Guide technical decisions involving system design, performance, reliability and scalability.
• Help engineers grow through mentorship, feedback and technical guidance.
• Improve engineering processes, development practices and overall team effectiveness.
• Balance hands‑on technical involvement with engineering leadership and strategic decision-making.

What We're Looking For

• Strong software engineering background, ideally with 7+ years of professional experience.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, distributed systems or platform infrastructure.
• Experience leading engineers, whether as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Staff Engineer or similar.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design and engineering best practices.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions and communicate effectively across teams.
• Experience working on production software at scale.
• Comfortable taking ownership, solving ambiguous problems and working collaboratively.

You don't need to tick every box. We're interested in strong engineers who have developed into technical leaders, as well as experienced Engineering Managers looking for their next challenge.

Experience with cloud infrastructure, search technologies, data platforms, developer tooling or AI-powered products is beneficial, but not essential.
