Job summary

Vontier in Stow, Ohio is seeking a Senior Engineering Leader to oversee a team of Product Development Engineers, driving quality initiatives, new item creation, and warranty savings to meet KPIs. You will coordinate with Sourcing, manage tool repair centers across North America, support NIC processes, and lead testing and supplier reviews with strong communication to field staff and customers.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years leading a team.
• 3+ years material testing and industry standard benchmarking.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience.
• SolidWorks 2D/3D modeling experience.
• Hands-on automotive repair experience.
• Experience with problem solving strategies (5 Why).
• BI/database query writing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Product Development Engineers to meet quality and warranty KPIs.
• Coordinate warranty savings and tool repair KPI targets.
• Manage North America tool repair centers and coordinate with internal/external facilities.
• Support NIC process and new item creation with specs, drawings, and testing data.
• Perform product testing (lab, external, field) and analyze warranty data.
• Engage with suppliers and respond to customer service needs through engineering input.
