Job summary

TheGuarantors is seeking an Engineering Manager, Property Management, to lead a team owning core platform capabilities for property management workflows. You will guide architecture, data models, integrations, and APIs that power leasing, renewals, and operations across multiple teams.

This hands-on leadership role demands technical judgment, architectural influence, and mentoring of engineers while ensuring reliability and scalability of critical backend systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with leadership roles.
• Hands-on fullstack expertise in Go, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong database design, query performance, and data modeling skills.
• Experience owning APIs or platform primitives used by other teams.
• Proven ability to lead high-performance engineering teams in a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and design decisions for core property, address, unit, and operator/company data models.
• Provide technical direction for integrations and data pipelines with external Property Management Systems.
• Balance speed, quality, and long-term sustainability in technical tradeoffs; identify risks and debt.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, observability, reliability, and security across Go, React, TS, and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure code/design reviews are high-quality and constructive; improve processes and tooling.
• Translate business goals into actionable technical plans and deliver end-to-end from requirements to production support.
• Maintain on-call/runbook ownership for key property-domain production flows and incident response.
• Improve developer experience via stable contracts, documentation, and migrations.
• Mentor engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and drive healthy technical debate.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and peers; keep leadership informed of risks.
