TheGuarantors is a fintech company that helps multifamily operators qualify renters faster using AI-driven underwriting. We seek a Software Engineer to own a slice of the renter onboarding channel and related services, partnering with product, design, and analytics teams in a hybrid NYC environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience in backend web development with Go and/or TypeScript.
• 5+ years of production experience in frontend web development with React.
• Strong REST API concepts and designs.
• Understanding of system design, data structures and algorithms; ability to assess technical design docs.
• Proven ability to manage engineering tasks and collaborate with product/design teams.

Responsibilities

• Own a slice of the renter onboarding and experience from requirements to deployment and maintenance.
• Develop new app/service features with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and maintain codebases, data models, and documentation to support business needs.
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, analysts, and engineers to align priorities.
• Communicate updates, risks and blockers clearly and proactively.
• Identify opportunities to improve team processes and user experience.
• Use data and business context to inform decisions and recommendations.
• Manage assigned work independently and meet deadlines and standards.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
